Flora A. Paris DeFazio

Flora A. Paris DeFazio, age 84, of Erie, died as she lived her life with dignity and respect on Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Saint Mary's at Asbury Ridge. She was born April 6, 1927 in Erie, a daughter of the late Paul and Anna Neilsen Paris. Flora was proud of her Greek and Danish heritage and she adored her family.

She shared her love of crossword puzzles, reading and the Atlanta Braves with her children.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur G. "Art" DeFazio and two sisters, Leona Eisweirth and Velma Deas.

She is survived by her daughter, Anne "Betsy" Frew and husband Robert of Fairview; a son, Jerry DeFazio and his dear friend Lynn Oplinger of Erie; two grandchildren, Paul Jaglowski and wife Jennifer and Brianne Stiffler and husband Martin and three great-grandchildren, Sammy and Maggie Jaglowski and Lilly Ann Stiffler. She is also survived by the DeFazio, Eisweirth and Frew Families.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a service there on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Paul RC Church, 1617 Walnut Street, at 10 a.m.. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
