Florence H. Joifrita

Florence H. Irish Joifrita, 85, of Erie, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016 at Elmwood Gardens. She was born December 1, 1930 in North East, PA, a daughter of the late Raymond and Hattie Vincent Irish.

Florence had worked at Elmwood Gardens for 18 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a member of Wayside Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her former husband, Carmen Joifrita; a brother, Harold Irish; and a sister, Alice Allman.

She is survived by her daughter Linda Joifrita-Cavicchio; her son, Frank Joifrita; brother-in-law, James Allman, and two grandchildren, Anthony C. and Gina M. Cavicchio, all of Erie. Also surviving are two nieces and one nephew.

No calling hours will be observed. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank Elmwood Gardens for the wonderful care that was given to Florence. The John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, is handling arrangements.
