Frank A. Cuzzola

Frank A. Cuzzola, 93, of Erie, passed away peacefully in his sleep the morning of Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Pennsylvania Soldiers' and Sailors' Home where he was a resident for the past three years.

He was born in Schuylkill County, PA on October 20, 1925, son of the late Anthony and Margaret Pino Cuzzola.

He served in the United States Army during World War II where he was stationed in Germany and retired from Bucyrus Erie after 29 years of service.

Frank enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family and friends at family gatherings.

In addition to his parents Frank was preceded in death by four brothers, Ralph Yamma, Joseph Cuzzola, Robert Cuzzola, and Anthony Cuzzola.

He is survived by his son, Lou Cuzzola Strelecki and his wife Liz, with whom he resided for ten years prior to moving to Pennsylvania Soldiers' and Sailors' Home and step-daughter Jackie Casconia and her good friend Mike O'Brien. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Jennifer Wieczorek of Erie, Heather Strelecki and her husband Chris Dudley of Portland, ME, and Lou Strelecki and his wife Missy of Erie. Frank had four great-grandchildren, Hunter and Madison Wieczorek and Abby and Anthony Strelecki. Frank is also survived by three sisters, Anne Scalise of CA and Carmela Braine and Cecelia Cimino of Erie and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Friday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Service there on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will be in Erie County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to a worthy charity of the givers choosing given with love in Frank's name.

Frank's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the dedicated caregivers and staff at the Pennsylvania Soldiers' and Sailors' Home for their loving care and support during Frank's stay.
