Frank A. Vendetti
64, of Canton, Michigan, formerly of Erie, PA died, Monday, March 1, 2010 at Oakwood Annapolis Hospital in Wayne, Michigan.
Frank was born October 26, 1945 in Erie, PA, a son of the late Anthony N. and Virginia M. Parisi Vendetti. Frank was a sign language interpreter. He often times worked in the State of Michigan courtrooms interpreting for the deaf. But, he was also present to interpret for State Governors and Pope John Paul II. Frank is most well known, in the Erie area, for his amazing basketball and baseball skills as a student at Strong Vincent High School in the early 1960’s. He was also an avid golfer and a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
He is survived by his daughter, Kimberley; son, Michael Vendetti of Canton, MI and four brothers, Dennis Vendetti and of MD, Kenneth Vendetti and wife Elizabeth of Erie, Ronald Vendetti and wife Joann also of Erie and Curry Vendetti of Clearfield. Survivors also include nieces, Raychel Adiutori and Carly Bennett of Erie, Vanessa Vendetti of MD and Angela Vendetti of Erie.
Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Wednesday from 4pm until the time of the Funeral Service there at 5 pm. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Pennsylvania & Southern West Virginia, 1001 State St., Erie, PA 16501.
