Frank J. Leone, age 96, of Erie, died Saturday, February 23, 2008 at his residence. He was born September 12, 1911 in Erie, a son of the late Ercole and Rose Alfieri Leone. He had worked at GE for 46 years, retiring in 1975. He was a graduate of the GE Machinist Apprentice Program and was an accomplished Erie area musician.

He was a charter member of the "Ice House Gang" which promoted the customs, culture and traditions of Little Italy. He was a life member of the GE Quarter Century Association, the GE Management Association, the GE Apprentice Alumni Association, as well as the American Federation of Musicians.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Antoinette "Do" Spirito Leone; a daughter, Rose Marie Leone; two brothers, Albert and Frank Leone; a sister, Louise Volk and a grandson, Frank Leone. He is survived by a daughter, Dolores M. Bebko and her husband Steve of Mason, OH, a son, Eric F. Leone and his wife Carrie of Mankato, MN and a dear friend, Esther DelPorto of Erie. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 5 great great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Thursday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a Service there on Friday
