Frank Paul Paparelli Sr.
Frank Paul Paparelli Sr., age 82, formerly of 1826 Cherry Street, died Sunday, January 31, 2010 at the VA Medical Center after an extended illness.
A lifelong resident of Erie, he was born September 27, 1927 in Erie, a son of the late Anthony and Giovanina Desimone Paparelli. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He had worked at Continental Rubber Works and enjoyed crossword puzzles and taking things apart.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Sam and Louis Paparelli; an infant brother, Frank Paparelli and five sisters, Mary Fantasia, Rose LaMacchia, Louise DeBello, Ann Trevison and Archangel Paparelli.
He is survived by two daughters, JoAnn Marie Paparelli of Atlanta, GA and Christine Marie Anderson and husband Vincent of Erie; three sons, Frank Paul Paparelli Jr. of Erie, Patrick Anthony Paparelli of Atlanta, GA and Anthony John Paparelli and wife Kelly of Erie; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and many dear neighborhood friends.
Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Tuesday from 2 to 6 pm and may attend a Funeral Service there on Wednesday at 10 am. Burial will be Calvary Cemetery.
