Gary M. Tedesco

Gary M. Tedesco, age 60, of Erie, died Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Twinbrook Medical Center after an extended illness.

He was born January 24, 1954 in Erie, a son of the late Joseph and Carmella Grande Tedesco.

He worked for the Erie Times News for over 30 years.

Gary was a car enthusiast, an animal lover and an avid Pittsburgh Pirate and Steelers fan. He enjoyed traveling and was in every state east of the Mississippi.

He is survived by his longtime friend and companion, Gil Vollmer of Erie, his aunt, Victoria Tedesco Muto of New Castle, PA and his uncle, John Tedesco (Joan) of San Antonio, FL. He is also survived by many cousins.

Friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service on Monday at Laurel Hill Cemetery, 4523 Love Road, at 11 a.m. Memorials may be made to Humane Society of NWPA, 2407 Zimmerly Rd., Erie, PA 16506 or to the ANNA Shelter, 1555 East 10th St., Erie, PA 16511. The John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, is handling arrangements.
