Gary P. Oberlander, age 70, of Erie died Friday, April 11, 2008 at the VA Medical Center after an extended illness.He was born December 17, 1937 in Erie, a son of the late Cyrus H. And Thelma Bauschard Oberlander.

He lived in Erie is entire life. He served in the United States Air Force During the Korean Ward. He had worked at Kaiser Aluminum. He was a NASCAR Fan and enjoyed traveling and photography.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers, David, Richard , Robert L. and Henry Oberlander and two sister, Lillian Wasiela and Helen Moore. He is survived by one daughter, Laurie A. Walker of Erie; two sons, John Oberlander and his wife Angela and Chirstopher Oberlander and his wife Rachel; two brothers, Scott Oberlander and his wife Cassie of West Springfield, PA and Robert Oberlander and his wife Brenda of MN and two sisters, Judith McMaster and Janet Tarbosso both of Erie. He is also survived by five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 3952 Pine avenue at 11:00 am. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
