Gene Raymond Graham

Gene Raymond Graham, 84, of Erie, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019 at UPMC Hamot. He was born May 5, 1934 in Erie, a son of the late Robert and Ethel Abbey Graham.

Gene was a member of the first graduating class of McDowell High School. He served in the United States Army.

Gene worked at Skinner Engine Company until his retirement in 1999.

Throughout his life he enjoyed bowling, golfing, and racing go-carts. He was an avid Steelers fan and loved attending all of his grandchildrens' performances and sporting events.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Donna VonVolkenburg Graham; a brother Kenneth Graham; and a sister Billie Slagter.

He is survived by his children, Gary Graham (Tina), Darlene Graham Dovichow (Randy), and Glenn Graham (Denise); and five grandchildren, Samantha, Alyssa, Michael, Paige, and Brett. He is also survived by one great-granddaughter, Celeste and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Monday from 3 to 7 p.m. and may attend a service there on

Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint George Church, 5145 Peach Street, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
