Gerald A. DiBello
Gerald A. "Jerry" DiBello, age 84, of Erie died Monday, October 15, 2012 at Pleasant Ridge Manor West after an extended illness.
He was born April 20, 1928 in Erie, a son of the late Joseph and Angeline Salzello DiBello. He lived in Erie his entire life.
Gerald served in the United States Marines during World War II. He had owned and operated Liberty Dairy Bar and had worked at GE for 17 years, retiring in 1989.
He was an avid New York Yankees Fan and a member of the National Club and The Knights of St. George.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Carl DiBello.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Cynthia M. Swisher DiBello; one daughter, Mary E. Potter and husband Rob; two sons, Joseph P. DiBello and Scott A. DiBello all of Erie; one sister, Audrey Martinez of FL; two granddaughters, AnnMarie and Veronica Potter; and one grandson, Kody. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Service there on Thursday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Sarah A. Reed Children's Center, 1020 E. 10th St., Erie, PA 16503
