Gilda E. Tammariello

Gilda E. Tammariello, age 77, of 2314 Sassafras Street, died Saturday, December 1, 2007 at Saint Vincent Health Center. She was born April 29, 1930 in Erie, a daughter of the late Bernardino and Anna Zonna Colonna. She worked at Revco in Swissville for 15 years and also worked for the Erie School District, retiring in 1995. She was a member of the Saint Paul RC Church and the Montenero Ladies Society. She enjoyed cards and bingo.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph F. Tammareillo, Sr. and three brothers, Clement, Nicholas and Rudy Colonna She is survived by one daughter, Renee Wiley and her husband Douglas of Erie; one son, Ralph F. Tammariello, Jr. and his wife Jamie of Union Bridge, MD; one brother, Anthony Colonna and his wife Shirley; two sisters, Mamie Farbo and her husband Phillip and Mary Bonaminio and one sister-in-law, Joni Colonna all of Erie. She is also survived by one granddaughter, Alexandra Tammariello of Union Bridge, MD and many nieces and nephews.

No calling hours will be observed. Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Saint Paul RC Church, 1617 Walnut Street, on Wednesday at 10 a.m. The John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, is handling arrangements.
