Giuseppe Riolo

Giuseppe "Joe" Riolo, 63, of Erie, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Saint Vincent Hospital. He was born August 26, 1957 in Siculiana, Sicily, a son of the late Pasquale and Concetta Pecoroli Riolo of New Orleans, LA.

Joe was a graduate of Phillip's College in New Orleans.

Joe was known for his friendly and outgoing personality and helpfulness in the neighborhood. He was also a successful gardener and enjoyed the outdoors and hunting.

Joe had a love for rescuing animals, music and attending concerts. His greatest love was for his beloved wife Betty.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Gina Riolo.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Betty Jane Yeast Riolo; brother, Gerlando Riolo; and godson, Randy Vannucci, Jr. He is also survived by his wife's family and many dear friends.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and may attend a funeral service there on Sunday at 4:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
