Gloria J. Volk Lucas

Gloria J. Volk Lucas, age 66, of McKean, died Saturday, November 21, 2009 at her home after and extended battle with ovarian cancer.

She was born July 10, 1943 in Erie, a daughter of the late Gerald Leo and Lena P. Serafini Volk. She lived in Erie most of her life. She was a graduate of Tech Memorial High School class of 1961. She had worked at Hamot Medical Center. She enjoyed camping and was a member of the Erie Family Campers Club and a charter member of McKean Lioness.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Michael E. Lucas of McKean; one daughter, Heidi A. Seidl of McKean; one step-daughter, Michelle Stiner of Johnstown, PA; two step-sons, Ronald Lucas and wife Eileen of Erie and Thomas Lucas of Phoenix, AZ and one brother, Gerald Volk and wife Rose Marie of CA. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm and may attend a Funeral Service on Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 4950 Old North Main St., McKean, at 10:00 am.
