Hannah L. Jenkins Nickell

Hannah L. Jenkins Nickell, age 88, of Erie, died Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Millcreek Community Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born April 1, 1924 in Burkhart, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Frank and Lorina Mullins Jenkins. She live in Erie most of her life. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and her church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Nickell , one daughter, Barbara K. Nickell and one sister, Hazel Nickell.

She is survived by four daughters, Mary Jo Stidham, Patsy L. Nickell, Juanita Nickell of all of Erie and Geraldine Clemons and husband Hershell of Girard, PA; one brother, Price Jenkins and wife Catherine of Erie and five grandchildren, Daryl Stidham of North East, PA, Glenn Stidham of Erie, Mark Stidham of Lexington, KY, Lisa Markhart of MS and Melissa McCray of Girard. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, 2122 Raspberry Street, Erie, PA, on Thursday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Service there on Friday at 10 a.m.

Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
