Harold Ray Herring

Harold Ray Herring, age 81, died Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Edinboro Manor. He was born July 18, 1930 in Erie, a son of the late Walter and Bernice Hotchkiss Herring. He had worked at the American Sterilizer.

Harold was known to love fishing and golfing. Additionally, he was active in the ministry of Jehovah's Witnesses and was a member of the Asbury Heights Congregation.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald E. Herring and Virgil Herring.

He is survived by three children, Terry, Wendy, and Harold; one step-daughter, Heidi Seidl of Erie; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Herring of Holland MI and Bernice Herring of Harrisburg, PA. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, March 10, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3604 Asbury Rd., Erie, at 3 p.m.

The John R. Orlando Funeral Home Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, is handling arrangements.
