Helen A. Agresti

Helen A. Agresti, age 90, resident of Millcreek Manor, died Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Millcreek Community Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born March 5, 1921 in Erie, a daughter of the late Ernest and Maria Scavo Agresti. She lived in Erie her entire life.

She worked at Erie Resistor for 35 years, retiring in 1974. After her retirement she worked at Rolling Meadows Lanes for over 30 years.

She was active in the Millcreek Community Hospital Guild.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Dr. Ben Agresti and Dr. Amedeo Agresti and four sisters, Josephine Parsons, Silva Ferretti, Kitty Perseo and Edith Jesus.

She is survived by her sister, Mary Esposito; a brother-in-law, Al Perseo both of Erie and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Mass on Monday at Saint George RC Church, 5145 Peach Street, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to LECOM, 1858 W. Grandview Blvd., Erie, PA 16509. The family would like to give special thanks to all the employees at Millcreek Manor and good friends Mary and Esther for their kindness and generosity shown to Helen.
