Helen M. Lombardozzi Norgren

Helen M. Lombardozzi Norgren, age 86, formerly of Erie, died Wednesday, February 14, 2007 in Louisville, Kentucky.

She was a daughter of the late Angelo and Anna Marie Caserta Lombardozzi. She was a graduate of Villa Maria High School and Erie Business College. She worked at General Electric and was a longtime resident of East Cleveland, OH, retiring from Huron Road Hospital there. A big fan of the Cleveland Brown and Indians, she loved opera, reading, gardening and well as preparing Italian meals.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin A. Norgren; two sons, Michael J. and Richard M. Norgren; two brothers, Angelo and William Lombardozzi and one sister, Mary Miraldi.

She is survived by a son, Robert A. Norgren and his wife Samantha K. of Louisville, KY; a daughter-in-law, Jeanne Schaefer of Palo Alto, CA; a brother, Ben Lombardozzi and his wife Laura of Erie and three grandchildren, Erik, Matthew and Julia Norgren.

Friends may attend a Memorial Funeral Mass Saturday at Saint Stephen RC Church, 1237 West 21st Street, at 9:30 a.m. Burial in Calvary Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Lung Association of PA, 3524 W26th St., Erie, PA 16506. The John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, is handling arrangements.
