James H. Fitzgerald

James H. Fitzgerald, age 59, of Erie died Sunday, May 9, 2010 at Saint Vincent Health Center after an extended illness. He was born March 24, 1951 in Oklahoma City, OK, a son of the late James A. and Wanda L. Sennott Fitzgerald.

He had resided in Newport News, VA before moving to Erie in 1994. James had worked in Sales and Recruitment for Schneider Trucking Company and worked in Admissions for Transport Tech, retiring in 2008. He collected model cars, enjoyed music, target shooting, cooking outdoors on picnics and spending time with family.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Logan.

He is survived by his wife Florence C. Gualtieri Fitzgerald; two sister-in-laws, Louann Harcourt and husband Stanley and Cindy Applebee and husband Thomas; one cousin and nephew, Frank Applebee; two nieces, Nicole Harcourt and Cristen Applebee and one cousin, Louis D'Onofrio all of Erie.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Thursday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm and may attend a Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart RC Church, 816 West 26th Street, on Friday at 9:30 am.
