James R. Conner

James "Jim" R. Conner, 61, of Erie, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018. He was born July 27, 1956 in Erie, a son of the late Claude Conner and Mildred Martin Conner.

Jim was a self employed contractor.

He enjoyed working on cars, being outside, and riding his "Hogg". He loved his family and would do anything for anyone of them.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Dorothy Conner; his son, Shannon Leader; and two brothers, Martin and Clarence Conner.

He is survived by his daughter, Rachelle Kindle (David) of Erie; former wife and soul mate, Helen Marzka of Erie; four sisters, Melody Littlefield of Oil City, PA, Cheryl Lapinski and Debra Hoff both of York, PA, and Maxine Wills of Manchester, PA; two brothers, Mark and Matthew Garris both of Parker, PA; and sister-in-law, Cheryl Conner of Erie. He is also survived by grandchildren, Elyssa, Teaira, Austin and several other grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
