Janet E. Giacomelli

Janet E. Giacomelli, 76, of LECOM Senior Living Center, formerly of Independence Court of Erie, died Thursday, September 3, 2015 at LECOM Senior Living Center.

She was born February 3, 1939 in Erie, a daughter of the late Victor and Louise Camino Giacomelli.

Janet was a graduate of Academy High School Class of 1957. She had worked at Erie Forge and Steel, Zurn Industries, and Van Air Systems. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed traveling, family, and friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Wilson and a brother Ronald Giacomelli.

She is survived by one sister, Carol Eck of East Stroudsburg, PA; two brothers, William Giacomelli (Alice) of Grand Rapids, MI and Robert Giacomelli (Gail) of Waterford and a sister-in-law, Gerry Giacomelli of Erie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of the service there at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint George Church, 5145 Peach Street, at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
