Jean Marie Raleigh Tetuan

Jean Marie Raleigh Tetuan, age 83, of West Palm Beach, Florida, formerly of Erie, died Saturday, December 11, 2010 in West Palm Beach, Florida.

She was born July 1, 1927 in Canton, Ohio, a daughter of the late Oren and Flossie Sharp Raleigh. She was an entertainer and singer, who was known as the "blond bombshell". She met her husband Tony on the road while performing. At the age of fifty-four she received a degree in Criminal Justice at Mercyhurst College in 1981.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Tetuan.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Anthony T. Tetuan of West Palm Beach, FL; one daughter, Betsy Haenel and husband David of Union City, PA; two sons, Stephen A. Tetuan and wife Linn of Erie, PA and Mark O. Tetuan of Erie, PA and two brothers, Thomas Raleigh and wife Judy of Anniston, AL and Richard Raleigh and wife Shirley of Erie, PA. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Wednesday morning at 10 am until the time of Funeral Service there at 11am. Burial will be private in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
