Joan Zonna Wisinski

Joan Zonna Wisinski, 83, of Erie, passed away Friday, April 6, 2018 in St. Cloud, Florida. She was born September 15, 1934 in Erie, a daughter of the late Dominick and Carrie Presogna Zonna.

Joan was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School.

She worked as a molder for three different Plastic Companies, Buffalo Molded, NOSCO, and Johnson Controls. While at Johnson Controls, she was president of the Local Union for six years.

Joan's passion was her family; taking care of her father, mother, and sister over the years. She was always there for anyone needing assistance.

Joan was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church and lifetime member of the Montenero Ladies Society.

In addition to her parents she was preceded by her brother Donald P. Zonna and sister Rosemary Chamblin.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl A. Salomon (Don) of St. Cloud, FL; son, Mark A. Wisinski (Mary) of Erie; brother, Tony J. Zonna of Erie; and five grandchildren, Michael, Kristen, Nicholas, Kevin, and Corey. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. and may attend a Service there on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1626 West 26th Street, Erie, PA 16508, at 10 a.m. Memorials may be made to Blessed Sacrament Church.
