John C. Berarducci

John "Murphy" C. Berarducci, 98, of Erie, passed away peacefully after a long full life on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Pleasant Ridge Manor. He was born February 3, 1920 in Erie, a son of the late Sylvester Berarducci.

He served in the United States Army Air Force during World War II.

John worked for Marx Toys and then for Eriez Magnetics, retiring in 1978.

He was a member of the Siebenbuerger Club and enjoyed bowling.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alvera F. Aquillano Berarducci; a daughter, Coleen E. DiFilippo; two brothers, Frank and Anthony Berarducci; a sister, Mary Getty; and his twin sister, Elizabeth Ferretti.

He is survived by his daughter, Doreen Berarducci Howell (Drake) of Erie; sons, John C. Berarducci (Carol) of Erie and Carmen J. Berarducci (Heidi) of Johnstown, CO; two sisters, Eleanor Getty and Mony Berarducci both of Erie. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service there at 6:00 p.m. Burial will be private in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Pleasant Ridge Manor, 8300 West Ridge Rd., Girard, PA 16417.
