John J. "Butch" Pencille

John J. "Butch" Pencille, age 50, of Erie, died Thursday, May 8, 2014 at his residence after an extended illness. God has taken away another angel. He was born August 9, 1963 in Erie, a son of the late John J. Trojanovich and step-son of Violet Trojanovich of Erie.

John loved being family and friends. He enjoyed racing his car #57 at Eriez and Stateline Speedways and camping with friends. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by three brothers, George A. Trojanovich, John E. Trojanovich and James Burchick and his loving grandmother, Martha McLaughin.

He is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Lowers Pencille of Erie; two sisters, Rena Davis (Brandon) of Greensboro, NC and Tammi Cunningham (Joseph) of Plant City, FL; two nephews, Angus of Greensboro, NC and Denver of Plant City, FL and niece, Tiffanie of Greensboro, NC; great-nephew, Caleb of Greensboro, NC and special aunts, Beverly Benny, Judy Kurtic and Faye Fromknecht all of Erie. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles and cousins.

No calling hours will be observed. Friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Monday at Saint Matthews Lutheran Church, 950 West 7th Street, at 6 p.m. Arrangements are being handled by the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street.
