John S. Swiderski Jr

John S. Swiderski Jr., 73, of Erie, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022 at UPMC Hamot. He was born September 1, 1948 in Erie, a son of the late John S. Swiderski, Sr. and Mary O'Neal Swiderski.

John served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

He worked at Lord Corporation for 20 years and then for the Erie School District.

John was an avid Steeler's Fan. He enjoyed the outdoors and taking long walks every day.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Liz.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Sandy Hagan Swiderski; a daughter, Melody Vona (Patrick); a son, Joe Swiderski; five grandchildren, Brandon, Kayla, Nick, Carly, and Anthony; and three great-grandchildren, Aria, Kinzly, and Kali. He is also survived by his two sisters, Marilyn and April.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Service there on Friday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Erie County Memorial Gardens.
