Joseph B. Berarducci
Joseph B. Berarducci, age 91, of West 41st Street, died Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at his residence following a brief illness.
He was born February 3, 1916 in Erie, a son of the late Domenico and Rafaela Cavicchia Berarducci. He lived in Erie his entire life. He was a graduate of Case Western Reserve and served in the United States Army during World War II. He owned and operated Berarducci Insurance Agency, worked as a chemist for the Erie Water Department and also prepared tax returns for over sixty years. He enjoyed golfing and bowling.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Vincent Berarducci and a grandson, Jason Campanella. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ann Marie Leone Berarducci; two daughters, JoAnn Campanella and her husband Anthony and Jackie Bongiorno and her husband Angelo; one brother, Julio Berarducci and his wife Priscilla all of Erie and four grandchildren Sam Campanella and his wife Michele, Anthony Campanella, Jennifer Chivalette and her husband Andre all of Erie and Brett Benner of Philadephia, PA. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a service there on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Blessed Sacrament RC Church, 1626 West 26th Street, at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the John Kanzius Cancer Research Fund c/o, Erie Community Foundation, 125 W. 6th Street, Erie, PA 16509.
