Joseph Giusti

Joseph Giusti, age 91, of Erie, died Friday, June 26, 2009 at Millcreek Community Hospital after a brief illness. He was born March 27, 1918 in Erie, a son of the late Oreste and Dalida Lucarotti Giusti.

He lived in Erie his entire life. He served in the United States Marines during World War II. He had worked at Hammermill Paper and was a life member of the Siebenbuerger Club.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Wedzik Giusti and a dear friend, Harriet Pallotto.

He is survived by his sister, Olga Pruzinsky of Erie; two nephews, Joseph Pruzinsky and his wife Marge of Arizona and Michael Pruzinsky of Erie; two great-nephews, Daniel Pruzinsky and his wife Denise of Pittsburgh, PA and Michael Pruzinsky and his partner William Shields of Erie and two great-nieces, Nicole Evans and her husband Dave of Arizona and Sara Rose Pruzinsky of Erie. He is also survived by one great-great-niece and one great-great-nephew.

Friends may call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Tuesday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a service there on Wednesday at 9:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Paul RC Church, 1617 Walnut Street, at 10 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. A Vigil Prayer Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 3 pm.
