Joseph V. Riazzi Jr.

Joseph Vincent Riazzi Jr., age 74, of Virginia, formerly of Erie, was called to be home with the Lord on Sunday, September 2, 2012.

He was born September 1, 1938 in Erie, PA, a son of the late Joseph V. Riazzi Sr. and Rose Patrizio Riazzi. Joe lived the past 9 years in VA. He had been retired from Lord Corporation for 12 years.

Joe epitomized the meaning of son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a generous contributor to many local and national charities. He was a member of St. Paul's R. C. Church during his residency in Erie and a current member of Holy Spirit R. C. in Christiansburg, VA.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Judie Riazzi.

He is survived by his brother, Dick Riazzi and his wife Nancy of Shawsville, VA. He is also survived by his nephews, Ron and Doug Riazzi of Radford, VA.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and may attend a service on Saturday at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, 3325 West Lake Road, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. There will also be a Solemn Funeral Mass performed by Father John Pernelli at Holy Spirit R. C. Church, 355 Independence Blvd, Christiansburg, VA, at 11:00 a.m. on October 7, 2012.
