Josephine DeMichael Falbo
Josephine DeMichael Falbo, age 87, formerly of West 28th Street, died Saturday, October 20, 2007 at Golden Living Center.
She was born March 19, 1920 in Villa SanAngelo, Italy, a daughter of the late Pietro and Serafina DeMichael. She lived in Erie most of her life. She first worked at Marx Toys. She was a cook at Lombardo's Restaurant, Buoy Restaurant, Nova Aurora Club, National Club and Fegos Tavern. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and baking.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Falbo Sr.; a son, Albert Falbo Jr.; six brothers, Ralph, Gildo, Sam, Gus, Emil and Arnold DeMichael and three sisters, Domenica Passaro, Grace DiSabatino and Rose Briglia.
She is survived by her three daughters, Kathleen "Kathy" Falbo, Mary Lou Allessie and Janet M. Thayer and her husband John all of Erie and six grandchildren, Becky VanGiesen, Bob Maxson, Jeff Maxson, Michelle Blanchard, Lisa Beery and Angela Ruffley. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a service there on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Paul RC Church, 1617 Walnut Street, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Erie County Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Saint Paul Church, 1617 Walnut Street, Erie, PA 16502.
