Josephine F. Scotti McGrath

Josephine F. "Chickie" Scotti McGrath, 86, of Erie, passed away peacefully June 14, 2018 at her residence. She was born February 10, 1932 in Pittsburgh, PA, a daughter of the late Francesco and Giovanna "Jennie" Fornataro Scotti.

Josephine, after losing her husband at the age of 31, raised her three children on her own working three jobs at times to support her kids. She was a Hero to all three of her children.

She was the owner and operator of a successful cleaning business "Maid To Order" for over 40 years.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Leo Charles McGrath and two sisters, Camille Naccarelli and Dolores Kuchta.

She is survived by her son, Michael McGrath (Tammy) of Coraopolis, PA; two daughters, Christine McGrath (John) of Boca Raton, FL and Jacqueline Masi of Erie; a sister, Darlene Mahaven of New Castle, PA; brother-in-law, Anthony Naccarelli of Pittsburgh, PA; and four grandchildren, Stephanie, Melissa, Tara, and Michael. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Brandon, Olivia, and David and many nieces and nephews.

No calling hours will be observed. A private service will be held at the family's convenience. Memorial donations in Josephine's memory may be made to the Erie Diocesan Cursillo Movement, 429 E. Grandview Blvd., Erie, PA 16504.
