Josephine L. Condello Yamma

Josephine L. Condello Yamma, age 88, of Fairlawn Street, Erie, PA,went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, June 11, 2010 following a brief illness. She was born March 10, 1922 in Westfield, NY a daughter of the late Dominick and Louise Calarco Condello.

She had worked at General Electric and worked as a secretary for her husband's business, American Overhead Door. She was a member of the St. George Bocce League and the Wolves Club Ladies Auxiliary. She loved her cat "Puddie." She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son James R. Yamma, three brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ralph J. Yamma, of Erie; one daughter, Nancy A. Hill and her husband, James of Erie; and one son, Robert J. Yamma of Erie. Also surviving are five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Monday from 6:00 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery Chapel, 5711 West Lake Road, on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m.
