Julia Ann Sambuchino

Julia Ann Sambuchino, age 93, formerly of Angelique Woods Apartments, died Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Pleasant Ridge Manor West following a brief illness. She was born October 29, 1916 in Erie, a daughter of the late Stephen and Julia Chrenka.

She had worked at Erie Ceramic Arts and the former Boston Store. She enjoyed bowling and was an avid reader. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard F. (Ricky) Sambuchino; a son, Ben E. Sambuchino, and three sisters, Ann Stahlbaum, Vera Bules, and Mary Suminski.

She is survived by one son, Dr. Richard R. Sambuchino and his wife Joan, of Erie; and one sister, Eleanor Dombrowski of Erie. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Richard D. Sambuchino and his wife Kim, of Erie, Kristin Oliver and her husband Mark, of Pittsburgh, Dr. Kevin Sambuchino and his wife Nicole, of Erie, and Kara Kolocouris and her husband Dean of Pittsburgh; several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Sunday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a service there on Monday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church,1617 Walnut Street, at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
