Julie Ann DiNicola Apthorp

Julie Ann DiNicola Apthorp, 77, of Erie, passed away Tuesday December 22, 2020 at her home after an extended illness. She was born March 14, 1943 in Erie, a daughter of the late Ofelio and Elizabeth DiNicola.

Julie attended Villa Maria College on a four-year scholarship where she received a B.A. in Education.

She taught at Blessed Sacrament School, Chestnut Hill School, and Wesleyville Elementary School for many years.

Julie's life centered around love of her family!

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Dennis Apthorp; two daughters, Lynn Neville and Kim Helfinstine (Matt); two sons, Greg Apthorp and Scott Apthorp (Debbie); her sister, Joanne Klimczak (Zdzislaw); and one brother, Eric DiNicola. She is also survived by two aunts, Jean DiNicola and Laura Lombardozzi (Ben) and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services will be private held at the family's convenience. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. The John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, is handling arrangements.
