Karen A. Sabetti Long
Karen A. "Weezer" Sabetti Long, 72, of Erie, passed away Monday, January 18, 2021 at UPMC Hamot. She was born May 14, 1948 in Erie, a daughter of the late Amerigo Sabetti and Dorothy Martin Sabetti DeGeorge and step-daughter of the late Louis DeGeorge.
Karen was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School.
She worked at the Aviation Club and Erie Insurance, retiring in 2018.
Karen was an avid Erie Blades, Cleveland Indians, and Cleveland Browns fan. She enjoyed bingo, shopping, and loved all her cats.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Debbie Sabetti and Pamela Sabetti Fischer.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Frederick A. Long; her daughter and best friend, Melissa Long; her niece and second daughter, Jen Sabetti (David Kinter); third daughter, Kimberly Hutchison; two great-nephews, Lucas Sabetti and Nicholas Schultz; great step-nephew, Justin Schultz (Mackenzie); and great step-niece, Alyx Hosu. She is also survived by additional family and many friends.
Due to COVID-19 calling hours and services will be private. The John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, is handling arrangements.
