Karen M. Murphy Gentile

Karen M. Murphy Gentile, age 63, of Erie, died Tuesday, December 25, 2007 at Saint Vincent Health Center following a brief illness.

She was born February 25, 1944 in Erie, a daughter of the late George and Alice Oberg Murphy. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph G. Gentile.

She is survived by her husband of forty-four years, Carl D. Gentile; two daughters, Wendy Gentile-McCullough and Leslie Gentile both of Erie; one son, Dana J. Gentile and his wife Emma of Waterford, PA; one brother, Tighe Murphy and his wife Cathy of FL; one sister, Maureen Murphy of Edinboro. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, a special niece, Aundrea Boldger of Canada and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Thursday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Service there on Friday at a time to be announced. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
