Lena "Lee" Cavicchio Pasquale

Lena "Lee" (Cavicchio) Pasquale, 96, died August 19, 2010, at St. Mary's Home in Erie. Born, March 7, 1914, in Erie, Pennsylvania, Lena grew up and resided in Erie for many years.

As a skilled seamstress, she worked at the NuBone Corset Company for ten years, before opening her own bridal shop, LeeMars Bridal in 1965. She and her husband (the late Alfonso Pasquale) relocated to Florida upon her retirement in 1978. The couple established their home in Lakeland, Florida; where she had lived for the last thirty years until returning to Erie in 2008. Lena actively enjoyed travel, leisure activities, crocheting, and maintaining her lifelong love of her seamstress craft by assisting friends in her neighborhood with sewing projects.

Lena was preceded in death last year by her daughter, Donna M. McClellan of Waterford, PA. Surviving are her sons, Dick [Linda] Pasquale of North East, PA and Spring Hill, FL; Robert [Dee] Giannamore of Ontario, CA; and her daughter, Rebecca Lee Moran of Venice, FL and Erie, PA; a sister, Cecelia Amatangelo of Donora, PA; also several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Lena was close to her loving care-giver son-in-law, John McClellan and to her granddaughter, Lea Diemer.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Friday evening from 6 to 9 pm and may attend a Funeral Mass on Saturday at Sacred Heart Church, 816 West 26th Street, at 9:30 am. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
