Lena M. Chetoni McKay

Lena Marie Chetoni McKay, age 92, of Erie, died Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Saint Mary's Home of Erie after a brief illness.

She was born October 9, 1919 in Erie, a daughter of the late Poldino and Severina Mazzei Chetoni. She lived in Erie her entire life. She had worked at the Erie Resistor and for the Erie School District for over 20 years. She enjoyed cards, ballroom dancing, NBA basketball and her grandchildren's activities.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William McKay and a brother, Italo Chetoni.

She is survived by two daughters, Nedra Linn (Wayne Aldrich) and Donna Cuzzola (Ted Makoske); one son, William McKay and wife Marcia all of Erie and six grandchildren, Brian McKay, Christina Narusewicz, Jamie Linn, Jessica Linn, Tony Cuzzola and Angela Gutierrez. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Thursday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Mass on Friday at Sacred Heart RC Church, 816 West 26th Street, at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
