Lenka Ristovski

Lenka Ristovski, age 84, of Erie, died Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Hamot Medical Center after an extended illness. She was born January 23, 1924 in Dragos, Macedonia, a daughter of the late Svetko and Petra Gaskovski Kostef. She lived in Erie since 1967. Lenka's family was her life; she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Rade Kostef and a sister-in-law, Patsa Kostef.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Aleksandar Ristovski of Erie; three children, Milica Spasevski and her husband Gavre of Toronto, Canada, James "Dimce" Risto and his wife Lidia of Erie and Vi Brickner and her husband Donald of Erie; one brother, Pavle Stefanovski and his wife Kristina of Erie; six grandchildren, Mary Sabat, Robert Spasevski, Kris Risto, Snezana DiBello, Boris Kitevski and Juliana Kitevski and 6 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 cousins, George Stefanovski and Zoja Naumovski, many nieces, nephews and extended family members in Macedonia and Australia.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Friday evening from 7 to 9 pm. A Trisagion Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday at 8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 4376 West Lake Road, at 10 am. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
