Leonard F. Earick
Leonard F. Earick, age 85, of Erie, died Sunday, November 13, 2011 at UPMC Hamot after a brief illness.
He was born December 14, 1925 in Ridgeway, PA, a son of the late Michael and Angeline Lizzi Earick. He lived in Erie most of his life. He served in the United States Air Force during World War II and also served with the Civil Air Patrol. Leonard had worked for the family business, United Importing. He enjoyed music and often volunteered as a D.J. He was a member of American Legion Post 773.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Francis Earick; a brother, Frank Earick and a sister, Christine Hayes.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lucile M. DiFusco Earick; one daughter, Darlyne M. Nedresky and husband Dr. Joseph; one son, David V. Earick all of Erie; one brother, Dr. Michael E. Earick of FL and three grandchildren, Peter Nedresky and wife Amy, Dr. Lisa Adiutori and husband Vincent and Matthew Nedresky. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Ava Grace and Alexis Raya Nedresky and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Tuesday evening from 5 to 9 p.m. and may attend a service there on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Paul RC Church, 1617 Walnut Street, at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
