Lloyd L. "Jake" Wolfe, age 76, of 2113 Haybarger Ave., died Friday, June 1, 2007 at the VA Medical Center. He was born July 28, 1930 in Burnside, PA, a son of the late Joseph and Fay Sturgen Wolfe. He lived in Erie most of his life. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked in the roofing industry and enjoyed fishing.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sonya R. Wolfe; one sister, Isabel Vodko; three brothers, Joseph, Sherril and Kenneth Wolfe and two infant brothers, Horace and Gerald Wolfe.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mildred "Midge" McMillen Wolfe of Erie; two sons, Rodney L. Wolfe and his wife Pamela of Albion, PA and George C. Wolfe of Erie; two brothers, Robert Wolfe of Mahaffey, PA and John Wolfe and his wife Ethel of Erie and four sisters, Mary Alice Bowden of Gray, PA, Emma Byers of Mahaffey, PA, Peggy Schultz and her husband Charles of Erie and Judith Witherite and her husband Charles of New Fane, NY. He is also survived four grandsons, one great granddaughter and nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a service there on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Spring Cemetery.
