Lucille A. "Aunt Lu" Vendetti, 77, of Erie, passed away Monday, January 17, 2022 at Manchester Commons after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born January 15, 1945 in Erie, a daughter of the late Alex and Angeline DiPlacido Vendetti.

Lucille was a 1964 proud graduate of Strong Vincent High School.

Lucille worked alongside her brother the late District Judge John Vendetti and District Judge Tom Carney for over 30 years. She also worked at Pennbriar Athletic Club for 20 years.

Lucille was a faithful lifelong parishioner of Saint Paul Church. She was an avid bowler and danced for many years.

Lucille enjoyed traveling, trips to the casino, and spending time with family and friends. She had a heart of gold and an incredible love for animals.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Marilyn Kossbiel and Carol Woznicki and a brother, John A. Vendetti.

She is survived by her brother Frank Vendetti (Debbie) of Ft. Myers, FL and her sister-in-law, Laurie Vendettti of Harborcreek. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday at Saint Paul Church, 1617 Walnut Street, at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass there at 11:00 a.m. Masks are required. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the ANNA Shelter, 1555 East 10th St., Erie, PA 16511 or to Orphan Angels Cat Sanctuary and Adoption Center, 5439 West Lake Rd., Erie, PA 16505. The John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, is handling funeral arrangements.
