Lucy E. Satelli

Lucy E. Satelli, age 97, of Erie, died Monday, June 6, 2011 at Saint Vincent Health Center. She was born November 4, 1913 in Chicago, Illinois but left with her family to Montenero, Italy when she was a child. She was the daughter of the late Filippo (Philip) and Domenica Bonaminio Gigliotti.

She married Nicola Satelli in Montenero and returned to America in 1938. She worked at Marx Toys for over 20 years. She attended Saint Stephen Church and was a member of the Montenero Ladies Society. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Nicola "Nick" J. Satelli; two brothers, Nelson and Marshall Gigliotti and one sister, Margaret Portanova.

She is survived by her son, Silvio D. Satelli and wife Gina; one daughter, Gloria M. Satelli and one granddaughter, Leily all of Millcreek. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a service there on Saturday at 10 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Stephen RC Church, 1237 West 21st Street, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
