Margaret A. DiNicola Panetta

Margaret A. DiNicola Panetta, age 67, of Poplar Street, died Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Saint Vincent Health Center. She was born December 14, 1942 in Erie, a daughter of the late Carlo and Yolanda Montagna DiNicola.

She had worked at Saint Vincent Hospital. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed playing cards, cooking and reading.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Salamone and Teresa Neary.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, James "Jim" Panetta, of Erie; one daughter Ann M. Panetta of Erie; three sons, Vincent J. Panetta, and Carlo J. Panetta, both of Raleigh, NC, and Michael A. Panetta and his wife Tammy, of Erie; one brother, Vincent DiNicola of Erie; and one sister, Angela Hayes of Erie. Also surviving are two granddaughters, Ashley and Alexa Panetta, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street,

Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a service at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
