Maria F. Lopez Torres

Maria F. Lopez Torres, of Erie, 85, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 9, 1937 in Puerto Rico, a daughter of the late Juan Lopez and Crusita Torres.

She was a loving mother, an understanding and supportive person to all. She loved flowers and loved to have all of her colorful belongings around her, including her collection of warm socks and stuffed animals. Maria was a very funny person and got along with anyone around her. She was energized by her daily 5 a.m. coffee.

In addition to her parents, she was in death by her son, Concepcion Medina and two grandchildren, Ada M. Pagan Medina and Javier A. Pagan Medina; and her dear companion, Monserate Caraballo.

She is survived by five daughters, Cruz Maria Medina (Edwin), Brunilda Medina, Lourdes Medina (Joan), Mayda Rodriguez (Pedro) and Maribel Medina (David) and two sons, Angel Medina (Maria) and Gerardo Medina (Yvette). She is also survived numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren.

Friends are invited to call on Thursday at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Service there on Friday at 10 a.m. followed by burial in Erie Cemetery.
