Marie A. Chiota Overly

Marie A. Chiota Overly, 83, of Erie, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021 at her residence. She was born February 17, 1938 in Erie, a daughter of the late Floyd and Celia Clemente Chiota.

Marie was a 1958 graduate of Pittsburgh School for the Deaf.

Marie was a member of the Erie Silent Club. She enjoyed reading magazines and knitting.

She is survived by her son, James "Jim" Overly; a daughter, Carol Overly; brother, John Chiota; sister, Carmella LaFuria (Angelo); and grandson, Cory Overly (Jessica). She is further survived by four great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, 2122 Raspberry Street, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Masks are required and all COVID-19 protocols will be followed. Funeral Services and burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery will be private.
