Marie A. D'Onofrio

Marie A. D'Onofrio, 69, of Cascade Street, died Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at her residence after an extended illness. She was born November 21, 1939 in Erie, a daughter of the late Nick and Stella Amoroso D'Onofrio.

She lived in Erie her entire life. She was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School Class of 1958. She had worked at WT Grants, Buffalo Molded Plastic and Erie Ceramic Arts, retiring in 2001. She enjoyed bingo, bowling, the casino, attending church functions and playing cards with the neighbors. She loved spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by two brothers, Luigi "Louis" P. D'Onofrio of Erie and Michael N. D'Onofrio and wife Lorraine; one niece, Carla D'Onofrio; one nephew, Michael A. D'Onofrio and wife Kimberly; one great-nephew, Jaydon D'Onofrio all of Fort Lauderdale, FL and six cousins, Florence Fitzgerald and husband James, Cindy Applebee and husband Tom, Kristen Applebee, Francis Applebee, LouAnn Harcourt and husband Stanley and Nicole Harcourt all of Erie. She is also survived by many cousins.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm and may attend a service there on Saturday at 10:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart RC Church, 816 West 26th Street, at 11 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
