Marie D. DiMarie Verno Baldi, 89, of Erie died Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Saint Mary's at Asbury Ridge. She was born May 4, 1926 in Erie, a daughter of the late Frank and Grace DeAngelo DiMarie. She lived in Erie her entire life.

Marie enjoyed traveling, shopping, cooking and listening to music. She loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Verno; second husband, Samuel Baldi; her grandson, Adam Carroll; three brothers, Anthony, Peter, and Frank DiMarie and a sister, Virginia Schmidt.

She is survived by her two daughters, Sharon A. Verno and Jamie M. Carroll (Emmett); one sister, Rita Zollner all of Erie; four grandchildren, Lisa McAfee (Shawn), Valerie Harris (Drew), David Allshouse (Monique), and Lindsay Allshouse. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Tyler and Tiana McAfee and Kian Richards, many nieces and nephews, and beloved dog Mitzi.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. and may attend a Memorial Funeral Mass on Monday at Saint Jude the Apostle Church, 2801 West 6th Street, at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be private in Calvary Cemetery.
