Mark Christian Dennen, 58, of Erie, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 5, 1962 in Erie, a son of Renee D'Angio Dennen and the late Don Dennen.

He graduated from McDowell High School in 1981 and received his bachelor's degree in communications and his teaching certificate from Edinboro University.

Mark was a kind, loving, and generous man. He was a lifelong weightlifter and was devoted to that hobby for 40 years. He loved sports and regularly attended his children's events. He enjoyed watching and coaching football. He was a fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Chicago Bears, and Pittsburgh Steelers. He also enjoyed golfing, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. Many memories were made over the years with his family and together they enjoyed beautiful trips to Europe and the Caribbean. Mark was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.

Mark was preceded in death by his father and friend, Don Dennen and father-in-law, Generoso Troncone, with whom he now shall rest peacefully.

Mark is survived by his wife of 29 years, Janet Troncone Dennen; daughter, Taylor Dennen; son, Vincent Dennen; mother, Renee Dennen; sister, Dusty "Dawn" Dennen; step-mother, Marilyn Dennen; and his mother-in-law, Marianne Troncone. He is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. All COVID-19 requirements will be observed. Funeral Services will be private.
