Martha Ann Gutowski Wydro

Martha Ann (Gutowski) Wydro, 96, of Erie, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2019 at St. Mary's Home of Erie.

Born and raised in Oil City, Martha was the eldest of her siblings. This is where she met her beloved husband, Walter, who she was married to for 65 years. They spent many years caring for one another and set a wonderful example of a strong and healthy marriage.

Martha lived a long and healthy life. She was a beautiful woman. She spent many years working in retail and retired when she was 80. She and Walter served as "Meals on Wheels" volunteers for many years. She will be remembered for many of her great attributes and in her late years, for her youthfulness.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter S. Wydro; and her son, Stephen Wydro.

Martha is survived by her grandchildren, Jason and Kimberly, as well as her siblings: Sister Justina Gutowski OSB, Loretta Caldwell, Nancy Thorton, and Danny Gutowski.

Martha will be remembered and never forgotten. Thank you for all that you have done and all those you have helped along the way.

Prior to her death, Martha expressed a desire to be cremated and to have a very private and quiet funeral.
