Mary A. Carson D'Aurora
Mary A. Carson D'Aurora, age 73, formerly of 3827 Canterbury Drive, died Monday, June 9, 2008 at Golden Living Western Reserve following an extended illness. She was born June 24, 1934 in Erie, a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Diehl Carson. She had worked at the Giant Eagle on Sterrettania Road in the deli department. She enjoyed bowling, crocheting and shopping.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph G. D'Aurora and two brothers, William Carson and Tom Carson. She is survived by one daughter, Kimberly Carbonelli and her husband, James of Erie; two sons, Mark D'Aurora and his wife Patricia, of Erie, and Robert D'Aurora of North East, PA; two brothers, Robert and Charles Carson, both of Erie; two sisters, Donna Thomas, Luxemburg, WI and Joyce Balazs and her husband, Joe, of Cleveland, OH. Also surviving are five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a third due in August and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, on Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and invited to attend a service there on Tuesday, at 9:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Paul's RC Church, 1617 Walnut Street, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. A Christian Wake Service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 3:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of PA, 3524 West 26th Street, Erie, PA 16506.
